Summer Reading ListListed below are the 2008 summer reading selections. Students are encouraged to read not only the selections listed below but also to continue reading throughout the summer with selections of their own choosing. Studies show that consistent reading results in improved vocabulary, higher ACT and SAT scores, and better comprehension and writing skills. In addition to reading the selections listed below, students are also expected to complete a writing assignment. Students will receive a copy of this summer reading list and the accompanying assignment in May before they leave school for the summer.
