AR Reading Levels

Our students use the Renaissance Learning Accelerated Reader program. Each student takes a computer-based test that determines their reading level range. Using that test and past results of AR tests, each student is assigned a color (a reading level.) In the Elementary Library, the books are color-coded according to reading level. Students select books on their reading level, earn points for computer tests taken, and then receive a prize for meeting a points goal each nine-weeks. Throughout the year, they work their way up the reading levels and learn about different series, authors, and award-winning books.
